Perched in the Appalachian Mountains, the municipality of Saint-Venant-de-Paquette houses the church-museum, which was named « la Tourelle » of the Eastern Townships. Inside this church, the floor of the gallery - the only one going all around the church in Quebec - is used as a museum and presents a permanent exhibition on religious architecture and artefacts. You will also notice that the interior is made of sculpted wood. It is also possible to visit the Maison de l’Arbre, which is the departure point of the Sentier poétique, inaugurated in 1998 by the Amis du patrimoine. Quebecker singer Richard Séguin is part of that association. In this house, you will find the administration offices, a small café, a shop and a permanent exhibition on forests. The Sentier Poétique is a hiking trail network dedicated to poetry from Quebec, and along which you will discover sculptures, gardens, falls and viewpoints to observe the surroundings.
