The beautiful city of Coaticook is full of attractions you won’t want to miss. You can take the heritage circuit that will make you tour the city and visit the old station, the Musée Beaulne in the former Château Arthur-Osmore-Norton, the Sisco Memorial church, the Pavillon des arts et de la culture as well as the Collège Rivière. Also visit the Ferme du plateau, which was added to the historical register in 1999. The main attraction remains without any doubt the parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, which is a natural phenomenon created by the erosion of the river. The Gorge de Coaticook is 50 meters deep. On the site, you will find a covered bridge, two observation towers, a campground and a 169 meter-long hanging bridge. It’s the longest hanging bridge in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Bird watching enthusiasts will be pleased by the ornithology path along which nesting boxes and observation towers were installed. You will also be able to explore a cave, walk in the heart of an Abénaquis village replica, discover the history of hydro-electricity and admire the natural cascades that spurt out from the rock. A 12-mile-long mountain bike path is also available, and you can go horseback riding in the wooded paths of the park where you might have the chance to see a deer. If you want to discover the region’s past, go to the Château Arthur-Osmore-Norton, inside which the Musée Beaulne presents a collection of ancient objects that will impress more than one! You are looking for an original activity to amuse your little family? Then go to the Lait-byrinthe! Try to find your way out of the corn corridors of the labyrinth. On your way, you will have to answer questions on thematic panels in order to find the exit. This tourist attraction is intended to make you discover the agricultural environment of the region. When you find your way to the exit, you can go play with the small animals of the zoo, take a walk in the pedagogical garden, visit the dairy farm, which is also on the historical register, or have a picnic!
