Project Ecosphere is an environmental and green building fair, whose objective is to raise collective awareness as regards to ecological issues. For this reason, key players in the environmental world will share their knowledge with the visitors.
This edition’s special event will be an homage to Quebec’s pioneer in environment, Mr. Pierre Dansereau, who will turn 100 years old early October. Speeches by Jean-Guy Vaillancourt and Danielle Dansereau, the famous environmentalist’s niece, will detail his merits and important accomplishments.
The event will open Friday, September 23rd with a conference by Errol Duchaine, host of “La semaine verte” on Radio-Canada. Culture in various forms will hold a place of honour during the entire weekend. This fair will take place in a festive ambiance, graced with several artistic performances, such as Chloé Ste-Marie on September 24th.
Once again, Project ECOSPHERE expects to welcome 200 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors. The companies and organisations present work in a wide variety of sectors: green architecture, new technologies, clean energy, ecological agriculture, nature conservation, fashion and design and alternative medicine. These passionate exhibitors will inform you about their innovative products and services that will allow you to improve your green shift or will suggest concrete actions so that we can all take a step towards a healthier planet.
Project ECOSPHERE maintains its information and consciousness raising mission by presenting conferences that are related to present-day ecological issues. Come listen to several authors, editors, journalists, professors and great researchers of Quebec’s universities, such as Dr François Reeves (astrophysicist Hubert Reeves’ nephew), cardiologist and author of “Planète cœur”, Éditions Multimondes, 2010.
In order to present solutions regarding the protection of the environment, companies operating in green building, new technologies, organic farming and alternative medicines have been invited. You will have the opportunity to attend 40 conferences and to visit 200 kiosks and several expositions.
