Danville is located at the border of the Eastern Townships and the Bois-Francs area in the Centre-du-Québec region, and has some magnificent Victorian-style houses that will certainly charm you. Cycling and outdoor lovers will be pleased by a part of la Route verte cycling network, named les Corridors Verts d’Asbestos, which goes from Richmond to Danville. It can be an excellent way to discover the region and admire the scenery and farms located on the hillsides. This path will also allow you to reach the Cantonnière and the parc linéaire des Bois-Francs. Another important attraction of the municipality is the Corporation de développement de l’Étang Burbank. This 0.62 square mile site hosts a varied wildlife and flora. It will charm the amateur or expert bird watchers who will be able to see swallows, geese, great blue herons, ospreys, willow flycatchers, warblers, pied-billed grebes and American bittern. You will also find small animals and reptiles such as minks, ermines, otters, deer and frogs and turtles.
