Lac-Mégantic

Regional capital of the Eastern Townships, the city of Lac-Mégantic will charm architecture lovers with its Sainte-Agnès, Saint-Barnabas, Notre-Dame-de-Fatima churches and the Presbyterian chapel, all of different styles. To learn more about the history of the area, visit the Musée Namesokanjik, located in the city hall. The lac Mégantic, the second largest lake of the region, and the Baie-des-Sable complex will offer you a whole lot of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or horseback riding, canoeing, camping, fishing, swimming, water sports and in winter, skiing and snowshoeing. If you prefer, you can also play golf at the Lac-Mégantic golf course, take a walk in the parc des Vétérans, or even try the snowmobiling trails in winter.
